The instructor is responsible for preparing course outlines, instructing students, and evaluating student progress. They also participate in the review and revision of course materials while maintaining current knowledge in the professional discipline.
Reports to the Programs Administrator and Program Coordinator for designated Medical Imaging Program. Teach course(s) as needed at the Brown University Health School of Medical Imaging. Holds academic and/or professional credentials appropriate to the subject content taught. Is knowledgeable of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising. Ability to write and communicate effectively with faculty and student population. WORKING CONDITIONS: Teaching instruction is performed in an online, hybrid or traditional classroom setting. INDEPENDENT ACTION: Performs independently within department policies and practices. Refers specific complex problems to supervisor where clarification of departmental policies and procedures may be required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.
