About the role

The Title I Tutor provides supplemental academic support through individualized tutoring for identified students. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of all services to ensure compliance with program requirements.

Bishop Chatard High School is seeking an IPS Title I - Tutor for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is employed by Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS), and will be assigned to Bishop Chatard High School to begin the 2026-2027 school year. This is a long-term position.

Bishop Chatard is a dynamic educational environment for young men and women with different life experiences, and is directed to the success of each student, focused on the growth of the whole person, and modeled on the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church.

Bishop Chatard High School prepares students for a life-long commitment to faith, learning, leadership, and service. Bishop Chatard High School is also a Department of Education "A-rated", "AP Distinguished", and National Blue Ribbon school.

Position Summary

The Title I Tutor is preferred to hold a valid Indiana teaching license. This position provides supplemental academic support in individualized tutoring for students identified for Title I support. Services are delivered on-site at Bishop Chatard; however, the tutor is employed by Indianapolis Public Schools and must follow IPS Title I program expectations. The tutor's work is designed to complement, not replace, classroom instruction. As a Title I Tutor, you are responsible for maintaining accurate and complete documentation of all services provided to Title I students, ensuring full compliance with program requirements.
