About the role

The teacher will support students in homework hubs by monitoring progress and teaching workshops on social-emotional learning and executive functioning. They are also responsible for mentoring students, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the positive culture of the campus.

As a HomeworkCafé® Teacher, you’ll support students in our homework hubs and social spaces.

Please note: Not all campuses serve grades 4 and 5, and specific details will be shared during the interview process.

What You’ll Do: Monitor and help students’ progress in completion of homework and with executive functioning skills.

Teach workshops around social emotional learning and executive functioning skills.

Communicate with teachers and parents on student progress.

Promote a positive social environment for students.

Adapt support to meet each learner’s needs.

Mentor each student and support their social-emotional growth.

Contribute to campus life or culture.

Keep student records accurate and organized.

Invest in your own growth through reflection, feedback, and ongoing professional development.

Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.

Ability and willingness to support students with a wide range of assignments.

Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.

Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.

Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to function in a high-paced environment, be calm and open for feedback, as well as a self-starter.

Ability to build rapport with students while maintaining authority, boundaries, and discipline.

Must maintain a clean and organized milieu space for students to learn.

A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed.

Pay Range

Usd $32.10 - Usd $32.10 /Hr.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree is required, with advanced degrees or teaching credentials considered a plus. Candidates must have experience working with diverse student populations and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
