The Pre-Kindergarten Aide assists teachers with classroom instruction, circle time activities, and student supervision during lunch and recess. They are also responsible for preparing classroom materials and supporting students during arrival and dismissal.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Christian pre-Kindergarten aide to assist teachers to help students learn, develop moral character, and understand Christian principles that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible young men and women consistent with the Board-approved vision, mission, policies, goals and curriculum. Work schedules vary with the school and teaching assignment. Work may be performed after school hours, as necessary.
Essential Duties Be in whole-hearted agreement with the school’s Tenets of Faith and Christian Philosophy of Education.
Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions.
Recognize the role of parents as primarily responsible for their children’s education and assist them.
Assist teach with a classroom environment of care and respect that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.
Maintain positive and consistent discipline.
Encourage students to develop a relationship with Christ.
Differentiate and pace instruction to maximize student progress.
Motivate and engage students in the learning process.
Show students how to properly use and care for materials.
Maintain and improve professional competence through staff development and self-selected activities.
Serve as member of department/building teams or committees, as needed.
The candidate must have a personal relationship with Jesus and be dedicated to the philosophy of Christian education.
