Strategic Workforce Development Inc.·Kansas City, Missouri
Participants will learn to utilize AI tools for practical work tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and research. The program concludes with the creation and presentation of a project that applies these tools to the participant's specific work or job search.
This is a free training program, not a job posting.
Strategic Workforce Development, Inc. is a Kansas City nonprofit.
We're enrolling now for our AI Literacy Program.
There is no cost to participate and no experience required.
What it is AI is changing how work gets done — in offices, on job sites, in dispatch, in the back office.
Most training on it is built for people who already sit at a desk with a laptop.
Ours isn't.
This program is built for people who work with their hands, people looking for their next job, and people who want to move up where they already are.
Over three to four weeks, about 60 hours in person at the SWD AI Lab, you'll learn: What these tools actually are, and where they get things wrong How to use them on real work — applications and résumés, but also scheduling, documentation, writing, research, and customer communication How to check an answer instead of trusting it What should never go into one of these tools, and why You'll finish by building something real that applies to your own work or job search, presenting it, and earning a certificate of completion based on what you demonstrated — not just attendance.

This program is competitive because it is free, offers a certificate of completion, and requires no specific degree or technical background, but you must be able to use a smartphone and attend 60 hours of in-person instruction. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits on this platform to save research time, then confirm your schedule before applying.
