About the role

The School Clinician provides individual and group counseling, clinical assessments, and treatment planning for high-risk students in an alternative school setting. This role also involves crisis intervention, behavior management, and close collaboration with families and school staff to support IEP goals.

School Clinician As our School Clinician, you will work with children/youth in our alternative school placement from Elementary to High School age who are high risk students.

Through individual and group counseling, clinical assessments, treatment planning, behavior intervention, caregiver collaboration, and skill building curriculum, you will work closely with the client, their families, other community partners, and school staff on their IEP and behavior goals.

Our clinicians foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with the students and their families to help them develop skills and strategies to more appropriately deal with their problems.

This role acts in a crisis intervention capacity to defuse situations, offer education on client triggers and effective strategies to family and staff, and restrain students if necessary, using CPI techniques.
