The Head Wrestling Coach is responsible for instructing and training students in wrestling, coordinating practice logistics, and providing support during competitions. A Telos Academy assistant wrestling coach helps instruct and train students in preparation for wrestling matches (ages 13 to 17). An assistant wrestling coach works directly with the academic team to instruct, evaluate, encourage, monitor, and record the progress of individual students. Provide coaching support during weekend competitions to Telos students. Transport athletes to competition events Friday nights and/or Saturdays. Provide support for Telos students during practice and competition. Plan for meals, snacks, etc for all Telos athletes. Communicate to the AD and the therapists the weekly and season schedule. Get students registered for weekend events by Wednesday of each week. Give weekly updates to parents of students and take pictures each weekend. Get a USA Wrestling Coaches membership (this includes a background check and a safe sport training). Telos Academy will reimburse all these costs.
