Instructors will lead or assist with after-school programs including movement, fitness, and creative activities for elementary students. Responsibilities include managing classroom behavior, supervising students, and maintaining an engaging, safe environment.
After School Instructors and Assistants needed for after school fitness and creative programs located inTerra Bella (93270) and Porterville ( 14004)n at multiple locations. We are looking for people who will share our passion for education, positive encouragement and making a difference in the lives of students. We’re hiring enthusiastic individuals for locations in Soledad and Greenfield for programs beginning in September.
Training is provided for all programs. We will provide daily curriculum, plans, games and materials for each class.
Programs include Movement, Fitness, and Creative Classes such as arts, light cooking instruction, creative makerspace.
Students are grouped by grade levels with class sizes maximum 20 students to two Yogativity staff.
Experience & Skills Experience working with youth in an educational, recreational, or after-school setting Strong communication and relationship-building skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Comfortable leading groups of students and managing classroom behavior Education Candidates must meet one of the following: Bachelor’s degree or working on one (Education or related field preferred) Two years of college or equivalent coursework credits. Ability to pass a company instructional assessment Additional Requirements CPR/First Aid certification - we will provide Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to actively engage in both indoor and outdoor program settings. Responsibilities may include: Standing, walking, and moving throughout program spaces Lifting and carting materials (up to 25 lbs) Supervising students in active, sometimes high-energy environments Managing occasional interruptions and dynamic situations What your schedule will look like: Monday through Friday afternoons in person at school sites, 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, or 3:00 to 6:00.
