Job Coach

About the role

The Job Coach provides on-site support and supervision to students at vocational sites while teaching workplace behaviors and communication skills. They also collaborate with employers and school staff to monitor student progress toward IEP and transition goals.

The Bradley School is a licensed private academy educating students who present with special education needs.

These students may have learning, emotional and/or behavioral challenges and struggle to succeed in a traditional classroom setting.

In addition, our classrooms include state-of-the-art resources that are specifically designed to serve the needs of the students.

We are looking for a Job Coach who is motivated, compassionate and has a calling and passion for helping children.

We are looking for someone with initiative, creativity and a desire to have a positive impact on a child’s life.

Primary Responsibilities: Provide on-site support and supervision to students at job training, internship, or community based vocational sites Teach and model appropriate workplace behaviors, communication skills, and job-specific tasks Assist students in developing independence, self-advocacy, and problem-solving skills in the workplace Collaborate with employers, site supervisors, and school staff to ensure job placements align with student goals and abilities Monitor student performance, collect data, and document progress toward Individualized Education Program (IEP) and transition goals Adapt tasks or environments as needed to accommodate student strengths and needs Qualities best suited for the position: Clear verbal and written communication skills High level of empathy/patience Advocacy modeling A motivating attitude Cultural sensitivity Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation, or related field required Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in vocational, educational, or therapeutic settings preferred Experience supporting job training, community-based instruction, or employment services preferred Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance Student loan repayment program $1500 sign on bonus $2000 relocation assistance Referral bonuses Health, dental and vision Coverage 401(k) Life insurance Free parking and meals Advanced training opportunities and continuing education credits We are committed to advocacy for children with special needs, care and compassion, and focusing on the inherent strengths of children, youth and families without regard to race, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or gender.

Requirements
