The Lead Teacher is responsible for directing learning activities and managing the classroom environment according to developmentally appropriate practices. They must also ensure the safety and security of children while maintaining regular communication with parents and staff.
Direct learning activities of children according to the general guidelines of developmentally appropriate practice, as well as general supervision and management of the classroom environment.
Familiarize and understand, as well as implement the curriculum through activities based on developmentally appropriate practice
Create and post weekly lesson plans
Participate in staff development activities and planning meetings as required by the Director and licensing
Plan special activities, such as field trips and parties, as appropriate and as they relate to the curriculum
Meet check points for Brigance/know when due.
Keep portfolio information updated in Procare/Brigance.
