Summary/Objective The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides essential health services to support the physical well-being of students across CMP campuses. This role delivers direct nursing care, manages health records, responds to medical emergencies, and collaborates with families, staff, and community health providers to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment in alignment with CMP’s commitment to whole-child development. Essential Functions
Assesses and provides first aid and basic nursing care to students with minor injuries or illnesses in accordance with established protocols and scope of LVN practice.
Administers prescribed medications and treatments to students as directed by a physician, under the supervision of the Credentialed School Nurse and in compliance with CMP medication policies.
Monitors students with chronic health conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma, seizures) and implements individualized health care plans.
Maintains accurate and confidential health records, including medication logs, and incident reports.
Responds promptly to medical emergencies, performs basic life support measures when needed, and coordinates emergency medical services as required.
Assists with vision, hearing screenings in accordance with state mandates and documents results.
Communicates effectively with parents/guardians regarding student health concerns, medications, and follow-up care in collaboration with and under the supervision of the Credentialed School Nurse.
Maintains a clean, organized, and well-stocked health office.
Assists in staff training related to health and safety topics as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned to support students' health, social, and academic progress.

Supervisory Responsibilities None Work Environment This job operates primarily in a school health office and classroom environment across multiple CMP campuses. The role may involve exposure to bodily fluids, minor injuries, and occasional Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift and/or move students or equipment up to 50 pounds. The employee may be required to assist with student mobility or positioning and respond quickly during emergencies. Safety Measures

Valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Experience providing nursing care, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience working in a school or educational environment.
Bilingual skills (especially Spanish).
Familiarity with California school health mandates and immunization requirements.
Experience supporting students with chronic health conditions or special needs.
