About the role

The substitute instructor is responsible for preparing and delivering classroom instruction while maintaining student discipline and accurate records. They must also monitor student progress, develop corrective action plans, and ensure compliance with all departmental and agency guidelines.

Job Description

Adequately prepares for classroom instruction Keeps students motivated and interested in the program and ensures students set realistic attainable goals Maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom Accounts for students when they are under your responsibility Maintains accurate student records and files Adheres to all DOL, Company, Center and department guidelines Adheres to the guidelines determined by outside agencies Develops corrective action plans for students with deficiencies Monitors statistical date related to GED test and scores Develops instructional plans using TABE diagnostic for those students who do not meet the requirement Other duties as assigned
