About the role

The head varsity swimming coach is responsible for developing the entire swimming program from Middle School through High School. They must plan and execute daily training sessions while ensuring compliance with OHSAA rules and school policies.

Position Summary

Laurel School is currently seeking a head varsity swimming coach. Laurel has had a long history of success in our swimming program with several trips to states over the past 15 years. The ideal candidate must possess solid knowledge of swimmer development for high school swimmers and be able to plan and execute practice sessions while having the necessary skills to train the team. Experience swimming and/or coaching at the collegiate level preferred. The varsity swim head coach will report directly to the Director of Athletics and will be responsible for developing the entire swimming program from Middle School through the High School level. This person will also be responsible for carrying out all activities necessary to accomplish the objectives of this sport within the guidelines of the OHSAA.

? Plan and conduct daily practices and training sessions ? Develop athletes' swimming skills and conditioning ? Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, and travel ? Foster a positive team culture emphasizing respect, discipline, and sportsmanship ? Maintain compliance with OHSAA rules and school policies ? Manage meet preparation, scheduling, and equipment ? Support student-athletes' academic and personal development
