The educational experience provided to our students and their families is rooted in a higher calling from God to honor and celebrate the gifts He has given us.Job Summary Bishop DuBourg High School, a coeducational Catholic school dedicated to empowering young people to reach their full potential, is seeking a compassionate and student-focused Part-Time Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year.

This position plays a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs by assisting with classroom instruction, reinforcing academic skills, and promoting positive educational outcomes in collaboration with teachers and learning support staff.

The Part-Time Paraprofessional works directly with students and classroom teachers to provide instructional and behavioral support.

This individual will help implement accommodations and modifications, reinforce learning objectives, and encourage student success in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Support students in the implementation of individualized learning plans through modified instruction, skill reinforcement, and remedial activities.

Provide one-on-one and small-group academic assistance as directed by classroom teachers and learning support specialists.

Assist with behavioral interventions and provide real-time coaching to encourage positive student behavior and engagement.

Collaborate with classroom teachers and learning support specialists to implement instructional strategies and accommodations.

Collect, document, and report academic and behavioral data as directed.

Communicate student progress, observations, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Participate in training and professional development opportunities related to student support services.

Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and records.

Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

Support and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or college coursework in Education, Special Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous teaching, tutoring, instructional support, or paraprofessional experience preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated interest in working with high school students and supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Ability to follow instructional plans and implement accommodations under the guidance of teachers and learning support staff.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and high ethical standards.

Requirements
