The Preschool Aide at St. Lucy Parish supports the daily care, supervision, and development of preschool-aged children in a safe, nurturing, and faith-centered environment. Assists with classroom activities, promotes positive social interactions, and helps foster children's emotional, physical, and educational growth through age-appropriate learning and play experiences. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
Assist with and lead age-appropriate educational, recreational, and creative activities.
Support children's emotional, social, and developmental needs through positive guidance and encouragement.
Assist with feeding, toileting, hygiene, and other daily care routines.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
Experience working with young children preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, dependable, and passionate about supporting early childhood development. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preschool classroom setting with indoor and outdoor activities. Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and active engagement throughout the day. Fast-paced environment focused on the care and development of young children.
