The Assistant Teacher supports the lead teacher in providing educational and special education services while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment. The Assistant Teacher assists the Teacher in providing educational and special education services specified by the individual needs of assigned students, as documented in educational plans such as IEPs and PEPs; provides leadership and guidance to the students in a supportive atmosphere. This position is classified as full-time, with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 2,080 hours annually.
