The The Goddard School in Ashburn (20147) is seeking a professional, dependable, and nurturing Lead Teacher for our Infant/Toddler classroom.
This is not a babysitting role. We are a premium early childhood program with high standards for care, safety, curriculum, and parent communication.

Compensation & Benefits

Lead an Infant/Toddler classroom with full ownership of routines, structure, and environment Create a calm, safe, and responsive environment aligned with developmental needs Maintain strong classroom management using positive guidance techniques Curriculum & Child Development
Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities Observe, document, and support each child’s developmental milestones Adapt activities to meet individual needs Parent Communication (Critical)
Build strong, professional relationships with families through daily communication Provide clear updates on development, routines, and any concerns Handle parent questions with confidence and professionalism Health, Safety & Compliance
Maintain strict adherence to all licensing, health, and safety standards Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and readiness at all times Supervise children actively during indoor and outdoor activities What We’re Looking For
Experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting Strong reliability and professionalism (attendance and punctuality are critical) Ability to manage a classroom independently Comfortable communicating with parents daily Preferred
Child Development Associate (CDA) or coursework in Early Childhood Education 1–3 years of classroom experience Familiarity with Virginia licensing requirements Physical Requirements
