Our team is recruiting an experienced Special Education Teacher to support 4th and 5th grade students at an Illinois school district during the 2026–2027 school year. This position is well suited for an educator who brings a thoughtful approach to instruction, strong classroom leadership, and a commitment to meeting students where they are academically and developmentally.
The selected teacher will provide specialized instruction aligned with student needs, adapt curriculum and learning activities, and support the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Working alongside general education teachers, related service professionals, and families, the teacher will help establish consistent strategies that encourage academic progress, classroom participation, and greater student independence.
This opportunity is ideal for a special education professional who values teamwork, individualized learning, and measurable student progress while contributing to a supportive elementary school environment.
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Special Education or a related field and maintain an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement. Previous experience working with elementary-aged students is highly preferred.
