In this role, you’ll provide individualized instruction and adjust learning materials to align with student needs and IEP goals. You’ll also collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support consistent student services and progress.
Maintain communication with families and school staff. Track student progress and support IEP goal development. Adapt curriculum, assignments, and instructional materials. Coordinate with general education teachers and related service providers. Deliver specially designed instruction based on individual learning needs. Promote a structured classroom environment that encourages participation.
Qualified candidates will bring a strong educational background in Special Education or a related discipline, with a bachelor’s or master’s degree required. An active Illinois PEL with the appropriate Special Education endorsement is also required, while prior experience supporting elementary school learners is strongly preferred.
