Coaches are responsible for leading recreational soccer sessions for children by following a pre-written curriculum. They must also referee games and ensure a safe, fun, and high-energy environment for all participants.

Soccer Shots runs the recreational soccer league for children ages PreK-8th grade at the Lockport Township Park District.
Soccer Shots and our league continue to grow, and we are looking for PART-TIME coaches to join our team.
The ideal applicant must meet the following criteria: 1.
An ability to encourage, connect, and work with children in a sports environment.
2.
The ability to follow a pre-written curriculum.
Our coaches are not required to develop their own practice plans.
3.
Have reliable transportation.
4.
Be enthusiastic and high-energy.
5.
Enjoy playing or coaching soccer, some soccer experience is required.
6.
Have good physical stamina as you could be running, kneeling, and squatting on a field for up to 3 hours.
Coaches must be able to carry an equipment bag that contains 14 balls, nets, and more.
7.
Understand the rules of the game.
These are recreational games, and we ref and work with the children on the field during Saturday morning games.
We do not require referee certification, but we need our coaches to understand the basics to keep the kids safe and learning.
*This is a fall league, but we have winter and spring leagues for coaches who are interested in continuing throughout the year.
