This position supports hands-on EMT skills labs and scenario-based training under the direction of the lead EMT instructor. Assists with patient assessments, EMS equipment, trauma and medical skills, communication, documentation, skills stations, scenarios, and student feedback/preparation for practical testing and the NREMT process. Must hold a current EMT or Paramedic certification and be actively working in EMS. Teaching, training, precepting, or mentoring experience preferred. Must be professional, patient, and comfortable working with high school students. This position will work in opt-in 3-hour shifts, either or both 8:45–11:45 a.m. and 12:00–3:00 p.m., scheduled on a rolling basis; a consistent weekly schedule is not required.
