St. Paul Academy and Summit School (SPA) is a coeducational, non-sectarian, college preparatory day school serving more than 920 students in kindergarten through grade 12. Our two campuses are located approximately a mile apart in St. Paul, Minnesota, serving Grades K-5 on our Goodrich Campus and Grades 6-12 on our Randolph Campus. Salary Range: $17/hour Department: Instructional Support, Lower School, PreKindergarten Aid
Successful candidates will bring experience teaching Pre-kindergarten, an understanding of child development, and a deep love for the ages and stages of Pre-Kindergarten students. Candidates must be able to support young learners in all core subjects (literacy, math, and social studies), assist with class, and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom. Collaboration with teaching partners, colleagues, and families is essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, as is knowledge of best instructional practices in literacy, math, and social studies. Preferred qualifications include experience with Responsive Classroom, Primary/Singapore Math, and/or Reggio Emilia. Candidates must be committed to developing cultural competence in their teaching and working effectively in diverse environments. This includes differentiating instruction, collaborating effectively with colleagues and families, and demonstrating strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Cleaning, organizing, and resetting curricular areas
Assist with: Observations Conferences Work Sampling/Documentation Supporting students with classroom needs including clothing changes, hygiene, etc. Outdoor play and supervision
