$34,424 - $40,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.This position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions. Essential Functions The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Coaching (40%25)
Train varsity softball team for intercollegiate competition at a nationally competitive level.
Assist the head coach in developing and implementing game plans.
Maintain and increase knowledge of women’s softball training and coaching techniques.
Supervise the training, development, and placement of staff personnel. Recruiting (20%25)
Evaluate prospective student-athletes.
Develop and maintain correspondence for prospective student-athletes.
Schedule, coordinate and supervise official and unofficial visits of prospective student athletes. Academics (20%25)
Monitor academic performance of student-athletes.
Counsel student-athletes.
Ensure compliance with all UCCS and NCAA regulations regarding academic eligibility equirements. Scheduling (20%25)
Assist head coach with planning and coordinating Division II schedule within NCAA, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and institutional guidelines.
Assist head coach with planning and coordinating team travel and lodging.
