TERI is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our Center for the Arts team and play a key role in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position combines hands-on behavior support with staff mentorship, training, crisis intervention, and program operations.
Working under the supervision of a TERI BCBA, you'll implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans, collect and analyze behavioral data, coach direct support staff, and help ensure consistent, high-quality behavioral support across classroom and community settings. You'll also serve as a flexible resource to the program, stepping in to provide direct client support and maintain continuity of care when staffing needs arise.

Your Role & Responsibilities –
Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans, instructional plans, and active support strategies in classroom and community settings.
Mentor, coach, and train Direct Support Professionals on behavior support strategies, active support, crisis prevention, and TERI standards.
Collect, analyze, and document behavioral data, participant progress, incidents, injuries, and other required reports.
Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support using approved PABS/ABST techniques to maintain participant and staff safety.
Support participant assessments, intakes, goal development, and ongoing program needs in collaboration with the BCBA and Program Directors.
Assist with daily program operations and provide direct participant coverage when staffing needs arise, including supporting activities of daily living, transportation, and community activities.
Observe staff performance and provide constructive feedback while helping promote consistent, high-quality implementation of behavior support strategies.
Ability to respond calmly and effectively during behavioral crises and utilize approved crisis intervention techniques.
