About the role

The Assistant Teacher will ensure the well-being and development of children through inquiry-based learning and interactive play. They are responsible for supervising children and maintaining health and safety protocols during afternoon and evening transitions.

About the Role

As a Part-Time Evening Center Floater, you'll: Ensure the well-being and development of infant, toddler, and preschool-aged children Support progressive, inquiry-based learning Engage with and enrich children using positive language, loving care, and interactive play Closely supervise children and adhere to robust health and safety protocols Support classrooms during the afternoon and evening transition, helping create a smooth end-of-day experience for children, families, and teachers Apply Today If You: Are available to work Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM–7:00 PM Are a flexible and communicative team player who is passionate about working with the youngest learners Have 1–2 years of professional experience working with children ages 0–5 Hold or are working toward an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred but not required) Value and build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues Are already or are willing to become CPR and First Aid certified Are fully vaccinated against COVID

Competitive Compensation: Our Assistant Teachers and Center Floaters earn $17–$20 per hour, based on education and experience. To be considered, applicants must be based in or willing to relocate to New York and possess independent U.S. work authorization. Physical demands of this position include sitting and standing for extended periods, bending, reaching overhead, and frequently moving or lifting children weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted. Requirements

Candidates should have 1-2 years of professional experience working with children ages 0-5 and be available to work Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. An Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
