Candidates must possess one of the following credentials: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in: Infant/Toddler Preschool Birth to Five (equivalent to two credentials) OR Associate, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field (equivalent to two credentials) OR High school diploma or equivalent, one year of experience working with children, and at least nine (9) college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field. Works closely with leadership to manage daily operations of the university childcare center, including advising and directing student employees and teaching assistants Plans and implements weekly lesson plans based upon the approved curriculum to meet the needs and interests of the children Develops center childcare and programming regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and maintain licensing and registration Contributes to monthly newsletters and other informative materials for families and community members on various childcare development topics Performs daily operations, such as delivering meals and sanitizing surfaces Participates in center activities and events for students and their families Other duties as assigned
