Job Summary

Level 1

  • Undergraduate Students with Limited TA Experience
  • Basic administrative support for class operations
  • Assisting with grading and in-class support
  • Tutoring outside of class as needed

Level 2

  • Undergraduate Students with Previous TA Experience or Graduate Students New to TA Roles
  • Supporting in class or studio settings
  • Tutoring outside of class; assisting with grading
  • Proctoring assessments
  • Leading discussions or guided sessions (non-substitutive)

Level 3

  • Graduate Students with Significant TA Experience
  • Designing course materials and leading lectures
  • Tutoring, grading, and proctoring
  • Teaching full class sessions (as a substitute)
  • Performing administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

Level 1

  • Undergraduate Students with Limited TA Experience
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Preferred flexibility in schedule to accommodate varying class and tutoring needs

Level 2

  • Undergraduate Students with Previous TA Experience or Graduate Students New to TA Roles
  • Strong musicianship skills and a deep understanding of the subject matter
  • Ability to work effectively with students in both group and individual settings
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Level 3

  • Graduate Students with Significant TA Experience
  • Strong musicianship skills and a deep understanding of the subject matter
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and support to students

The position’s rate ranges from

  • BM: $15.00 per hour, MM: $16.50 per hour,
  • DMA: $18.00 per hour
