What You’ll Do Instruction & Student Learning Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons aligned with state standards and the school's fitness curriculum. Teach sport-specific skills with an emphasis on soccer, tennis, martial arts, and overall physical fitness. Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment. Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of student performance. Prepare students for school fitness competitions and tournaments. Student Support & Classroom Management Supervise students at all times and ensure student safety. Implement positive behavior management strategies and school discipline policies. Support the needs of students with IEPs, 504 Plans, and behavior plans in collaboration with intervention staff. Foster an inclusive environment that encourages respect, teamwork, and healthy habits. Program Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness space. Manage and maintain fitness equipment inventory. Assist with school-wide events, fitness competitions, and assigned duties such as lunch or bus supervision.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred. Valid Ohio teaching license. Successful completion of required state and federal background checks. Work Schedule School hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Attendance at staff meetings, professional development, conferences, and school events as required.
