The physician will perform full-time clinical practice at a rural Mercer Medicine clinic in Jekyll Island, Georgia. They are responsible for maintaining a financially viable practice while contributing to the training of healthcare professionals in underserved areas.

This position is expected to maintain a financially viable clinical practice at our Mercer Medicine rural clinic in Jekyll Island, GA.
This is a 12-month professional staff position that will report to the Director of the Rural Clinics.
Candidates must: Hold an M.D. degree and be board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, and be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.
The candidate must also demonstrate strong experience in working in interdisciplinary healthcare education and clinical settings.
The ideal candidate will have: Experience in a health-related clinical area is desirable.
Experience in both an inpatient and outpatient basis is desirable Ability to work well with others in an academic setting Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience presenting and communicating medical concepts to clinical and lay audiences Familiarity and/or experience with medical settings and culture Experience working with stakeholders and communities in rural, medically underserved areas of Georgia
