The Classroom Aide supports the teacher by assisting with instructional activities, student supervision, and daily classroom routines. They help maintain a safe, nurturing environment while fostering the academic, social, and spiritual growth of students.

Louis.Job Summary The Classroom Aide supports the classroom teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and effective learning environment for students.

The Classroom Aide assists with classroom instruction, student supervision, daily routines, and learning activities while helping students grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

In a Catholic school setting, the Classroom Aide is expected to model Christian values and support the Catholic identity and mission of the school through respectful, compassionate, and positive interactions with students, families, and staff.Job Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities and classroom routines.

Support students individually or in small groups with academic assignments and learning activities.

Provide supervision of students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal, and other activities as assigned.

Help maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming classroom environment.

Assist students with age-appropriate personal needs and daily routines as needed.

Encourage positive behavior, cooperation, kindness, respect, and responsibility.

Help prepare classroom materials, displays, learning centers, and activities.

Assist with classroom organization, cleanliness, and maintaining supplies.

Reinforce classroom rules and school policies under the direction of the classroom teacher.

Provide additional support to students who may need assistance with academic, behavioral, or social needs.

Communicate student concerns or observations to the classroom teacher or appropriate school personnel.

Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters.

Support classroom prayer, religious instruction, and other faith-based activities as appropriate.

Model and promote Catholic values and the mission of the school.

Work collaboratively and professionally with teachers, staff, students, and families.

Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or coursework in education or child development is preferred.

Previous experience working with children is preferred.

Ability to work effectively as part of a classroom team.

Patient, dependable, caring, and positive attitude.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to follow directions and support the classroom teacher's instructional plans.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.

Commitment to supporting the Catholic identity, mission, and values of the school.

Must complete required background checks, child-safety training, and other diocesan or school requirements.
