Abraham Joshua Heschel School is seeking a full time Middle School Assistant Judaic Studies Teacher for grades 6-8. The Assistant Judaic Studies Teacher will support the teaching and learning of Chumash, Torah She'be'al Peh and Ivrit, as well as daily Tefillah; and will play an active role in planning and executing special programming. The position is an excellent opportunity for someone to gain valuable professional training and experience in formal Jewish education.
In addition to having a Bachelor's Degree, applicants must have a Jewish education, strong Jewish text skills and oral Hebrew language skills. A candidate should enjoy the process of teamwork, which is how we work to address the needs of students, develop curriculum, and plan special programming. The full-time equivalent salary range is $55,000 - $60,000, depending on years of experience.
