BAM! is looking for a Cheer Instructor to lead engaging, high-energy after-school cheer programs where students can build their confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills. In this role, you will: Lead Cheer Classes: Teach cheerleading fundamentals, including basic stunts, tumbling, jumps, chants, and dance routines, tailored to the age and skill level of your students (grades K-8). Foster Teamwork: Encourage collaboration, sportsmanship, and confidence through positive reinforcement and team-building activities. Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive environment where every student feels supported and valued. Represent BAM!: Deliver a fun and professional experience by implementing BAM!'s cheer program curriculum and maintaining our high standards for instruction and care.
Associate degree or 48 college credit or willingness to take a Paraprofessional exam with the School District. Must have a background in cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, or tumbling dance-rhythm to be considered. Must be 18 or older Must have 1-2 years' experience in coaching and/or Sports education Experience and knowledge of Cheer, Flag Football, or Track & Field. A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring (coaching/teaching experience is preferred). Excellent class management skills and the ability to work effectively with students in grades K-8. Must possess a current, government issued photo identification, such as a valid driver’s license or state ID, and have dependable transportation to travel to assigned program locations as needed. Ability to pass a background check. Willingness to undergo additional training as required. Ability to lift and carry approximately 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.
