Maintain a positive, productive learning environment tailored to students' needs. Implement lesson plans and instructional activities in the absence of the regular teacher. Ensure all ACADC policies are observed during classroom activities. Create and maintain a safe, respectful classroom conducive to learning. Supervise students at all times, including outdoor activities, recess, lunch, and carpool duties. Be familiar with emergency procedures, including fire, severe weather, and tornado protocols. Take attendance, review teacher notes, and follow lesson plans. Maintain confidentiality in compliance with FERPA guidelines. Adapt to varying classroom circumstances and demonstrate sound judgment. Arrive 30 minutes prior to assignment and remain on duty for the full duration, including teacher planning periods. Leave detailed notes for the regular teacher on any issues or observations from the day. Complete all assigned training in a timely and accurate manner. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal. Required Skills & Abilities Bachelor's Degree preferred. Commitment to ACADC's mission, vision, and policies. Ability to supervise outdoor activities safely.
