John A. Logan College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Adjunct Instructor for the Surgical Technology Program (STP) to help prepare students for successful careers in the operating room. What you'll do

As a Surgical Technology Adjunct Instructor, you will

  • Teach assigned Surgical Technology courses in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings
  • Prepare and deliver engaging instruction aligned with course objectives and program outcomes
  • Develop and maintain course syllabi, instructional materials, and learning activities
  • Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and academic records
  • Support student success through guidance, mentoring, and academic assistance
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, college policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Promote safe practices, infection control standards, and professional conduct
  • Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and clinical partners to support program excellence
  • Participate in required College meetings, trainings, and compliance activities, including Title IX requirements
  • Represent the College professionally in academic, clinical, and community settings

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified candidates must possess

  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology education program
  • Associate degree
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in Surgical Technology
  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
  • Proficiency in instructional technology and educational software platforms

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field from an accredited institution
  • Previous post-secondary or healthcare education teaching experience
