The Early Childhood Floater assists lead teachers with classroom activities, meal preparation, and supervision of children aged birth to 5 years. They also provide necessary coverage for staff breaks and absences while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
Overview The Part-Time Early Childhood Floater works collaboratively with the preschool team to ensure a high-quality program that aligns with YMCA values and early childhood best practices. Assist Lead Teachers and Teachers in their classrooms. Assist with cooking, prepping and serving meals. Giving Lead Teachers and Teachers breaks and lunch breaks. Caring for children ranging in ages from birth-5 years. Bending and lifting up to 50 pounds. Filling in for Lead Teachers and Teachers in their absence. All YMCA staff are responsible for creating a safe, inclusive environment. This includes following all YMCA policies and procedures related to abuse prevention, reporting concerns or incidents immediately, and maintaining appropriate boundaries with youth and members.
Be 18 years old. Have a high school diploma or GED. Have reliable transportation. Be a positive and proactive person. Have great communication skills. Must be able to pass a background check.
