ABOUT YOU You are knowledgeable about the IB and/or Montessori curriculum and philosophy and are able to successfully employ effective teaching practices. If you are not IB and/or Montessori credentialed, you are willing and eager to learn about it. ROLE OF THE IB AND/OR MONTESSORI TEACHER Create welcoming, functional, safe, attractive, de-cluttered, stimulating and physically comfortable learning environments May assist children during bathroom or hygiene-related activities (Preschool only) Work with and follow the team’s guidelines with regards to classroom schedule, activities, and norms Step in for teachers that are absent and follow the guidance of the other teachers in the classroom or of the Parent Liaison
Montessori and/or IB teaching experience preferred Education: Bachelors Degree in Education or a related field (Masters preferred) Experience: Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience Fluent in English (able to successfully attend workshops, read professional information and work collaboratively in the language.) Legally authorized to work now and in the future in the United States
