General Purpose and Scope of Position: The IvyRoots (Real-World Opportunities & On-the-Job Training for Students) Internship connects Ivy Tech students with local non-profit organizations to create meaningful change in our community.

Through this paid experience, students contribute to projects that strengthen local services while developing professional and leadership skills.

Major Responsibilities: Interns will work up to 10 hours per week (maximum of 80 hours total) at their assigned site, supporting real-world initiatives that help our region grow and thrive.

This opportunity is ideal for students who are dependable, self-motivated, and take pride in representing Ivy Tech through their professionalism, initiative, and community-minded spirit.

A few general responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Assist with daily operations Support program activities Maintain records and data Collaborate with staff and volunteers

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current Ivy Tech student Must be available to work up to 10 hours per week at the designated non-profit site Reliability, initiative, and strong communication skills are essential Pay Information: $15 per hour (up to 80 hours total) Ivy Tech is committed to supporting the well-being, growth, and financial security of our part-time employees.
