We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Resource Room Teacher to join our Team!
· Bachelor's degree in special education or related field; Masters preferred · State of Michigan teacher certificate with one of the following endorsements: SA, SC, SE, SM · Experience working with students in a variety of learning disabilities · Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education (SPED) laws · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills NATURE OF THE POSITION: The Resource Room Teacher is committed to providing individualized attention and support to students who need it the most. You will play a critical role in helping students overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to support student learning. Collaborate with regular education teachers and other special education staff to ensure a seamless educational experience for students. Assess student progress and modify instruction as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and other important information. Communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders to keep them informed of student progress and any concerns. Provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that is conducive to student learning and growth. Additional duties as assigned
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field and possess a valid Michigan teacher certificate with specific endorsements. Familiarity with SPED laws and experience working with students with learning disabilities are also required.
