The Health Educator provides sexual and reproductive health education, HIV counseling, and risk reduction services to adolescents within school-based health centers. They also conduct outreach, facilitate health workshops, and assist students with enrollment in health coverage programs.
Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Health Educator- Brooklyn - NY.
In this role, the successful candidate The Health Educator will serve as a key member of the Family Health Centers at NYU Langone School-Based Health Center (SBHC) team and will be housed under the Project SAFE program. The role provides sexual and reproductive health education, HIV counseling and testing, risk reduction counseling, outreach, and linkage to care for adolescents in FHC SBHCs. The Health Educator promotes utilization of SBHC services through individual engagement, clinic tours, outreach activities, and collaboration with school and community partners. The position also supports the implementation of evidence-based sexual health education workshops in schools throughout Brooklyn.
To qualify you must have a HS Diploma Prior work experience with community health outreach. Health related background.
Bachelor's degree At least two years providing services to young adults. Good interpersonal skills Workshop facilitation experience Interest in public health/sexual health education

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $49,200.60 - $51,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
