Required Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid Ohio teaching license or the ability to obtain appropriate state licensure. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with K–8 students in diverse and inclusive educational settings. Knowledge of child development, instructional practices, and effective approaches to teaching English learners. Understanding of state academic standards, student assessment, and data-informed instruction. Proficiency with digital tools and platforms used for classroom instruction, assessment, documentation, and communication. Commitment to using Performance Academies’ approved curriculum and instructional resources. Preferred TESOL endorsement or other relevant English learner credential. Previous experience providing language instruction or related services to K–8 students. Experience administering the OELPA or other English-language proficiency assessments. Familiarity with Ohio EMIS reporting and English learner compliance requirements. Experience collaborating with general education teachers, intervention specialists, speech-language pathologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
