About the role

The assistant teacher will provide a caring presence for infants while promoting their physical, social, and cognitive development. They will work cooperatively with the lead teacher to implement daily lessons and build supportive relationships with families.

In search of Infant Assistant Teacher who has a passion for working with infants and their families in a caring, educational setting that is rooted in the mission of the YMCA, a non-profit, charity organization. Hours/Shift: Monday through Friday 1-6:30pm and 2-6:30pm

Qualifications

At least 18 years old Completed high school or GED program Ability to pass a background check and physical Who Are We Looking For? Individuals who will... Serve as a caring adult presence for children ages six weeks to twelve months by inspiring learning that promotes a child's physical, social and cognitive development. Works cooperatively with Lead Teacher in implementing and developing daily lessons and activities that meets the needs of the group. Build relationships with parents and other adults in order to foster a supportive environment for each child. Be a part of an amazing team of staff focused on supporting children as they grow and learn. Execute State Licensing and Step Up to Quality requirements in order to provide a quality care environment. Starting Pay: $12.30/hour

Requirements

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have completed a high school diploma or GED. The ability to pass a background check and physical examination is required.
