About the role

The assistant coach will support the head coach with daily on-field coaching, player skill development, and opponent scouting. Additionally, the role involves managing recruiting efforts, organizing campus visits, and assisting with program fundraising.

Position Summary

The candidate will help create a fully participating atmosphere aligning with the Athletic Department mission to recruit, retain and graduate athletes from all demographics. Albright is an NCAA Division III member institution as well as a member of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), and the Commonwealth Conference.

For this part-time position, assist head coach, with day-to-day operations of the program; coaching responsibilities; off campus and on campus recruiting; use of Front Rush; skill development of athletes; and all other duties as assigned by head coach.

Essential Job Functions

1.

Assist head coach with day to day on field coaching.

2.

Recruit prospective student athletes on and off campus.

Evaluate player talent for recruits.

3.

Organize recruiting communications and campus visits.

4.

Assist with program fundraising.

5.

Assist with planning and implantation of pre-season practices.

6.

Post all team activities and announcements on social media.

7.

Assist with opponent scouting reports.

8.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Prerequisites

1. Communication

1. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

2. SKILLS

1. Playing and/or coaching lacrosse necessary. 2. Knowledge of social media and the HUDL website preferred.

3. Employment experience

a. Coaching experience at high school or college level.

4. Education

a. College degree or equivalent required.

5. Licenses

a. Drivers license required. b. Child clearances required.

Requirements

Candidates must have prior coaching experience at the high school or college level and possess a college degree or equivalent. Excellent written and oral communication skills, a valid driver's license, and required child clearances are mandatory.
