The Seasonal Coach is responsible for leading and developing student-athletes in a specific sport while fostering sportsmanship and Christian values. They must plan practices, supervise competitions, and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.

Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St.

Louis.Job Summary The Seasonal Coach is responsible for leading and developing student-athletes in a specific sport while supporting the mission, values, and educational philosophy of the Catholic school.

The coach promotes athletic excellence, sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth within a faith-centered environment.

This position is seasonal and reports to the Athletic Director.Job Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and conduct practices that develop student-athletes' skills, teamwork, and physical conditioning.

Coach and supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, and team activities.

Foster an environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, discipline, and Christian values.

Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes by following established safety procedures and school policies.

Teach and model ethical behavior, integrity, and respect for officials, opponents, teammates, and spectators.

Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and the Athletic Director.

Monitor student-athlete conduct and encourage academic success and personal responsibility.

Attend required coaches' meetings, professional development sessions, and school athletic events as assigned.

Maintain equipment, uniforms, and facilities in cooperation with the Athletic Department.

Comply with all school, diocesan, league, and state athletic association rules and regulations.

Complete required reports, eligibility documentation, and other administrative responsibilities in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Previous coaching experience or participation in the sport is preferred.

Knowledge of the rules, strategies, and techniques of the assigned sport.

Current CPR, First Aid, and concussion training certifications, or the ability to obtain them before the season begins.

Successful completion of required background checks and safe environment training.
