Preschool Teacher – 2-Year-Old Classroom
The Learning Experience – Bristow is looking for a caring and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team and work with our energetic 2-year-old learners.
This classroom is an important bridge between toddlerhood and preschool. You'll help children strengthen their communication skills, develop greater independence, learn classroom routines, and build positive relationships while introducing engaging early learning experiences.
We're looking for someone with previous childcare experience who understands that two-year-olds need plenty of patience, consistency, encouragement, and fun!
What You'll Do: Create engaging daily learning experiences for children in our 2-Year-Old classroom
Implement developmentally appropriate activities using The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Support early language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
Encourage independence with self-help skills and classroom routines
Guide children through learning activities, meals, outdoor play, rest time, and transitions
Use positive guidance to encourage appropriate classroom behaviors and social skills
Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
Build strong relationships with children and communicate regularly with families
Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership
Follow Virginia childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required
Previous professional childcare, daycare, or preschool experience required
Experience working with toddlers or two-year-olds preferred
CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Patient, dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented
Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
