Vista, CA Yogativity is seeking an enthusiastic Lead Instructor to lead our afterschool program for TK–5th grade students. This hands-on program inspires well being through fun, exploration, movement, environmental education, games, teamwork, and creative activities while fostering confidence, responsibility, leadership, and a positive mindset. Classes are hosted at schools in multiple locations around Vista. College students. parents, grandparents, invited to apply.
Paid training is provided for all programs. We will provide daily curriculum, plans, games and materials for each class.
Students are grouped by grade levels with class sizes maximum 20 students to two Yogativity staff working as a team.
Experience & Skills Experience working with youth in an educational, recreational, or after-school setting Strong communication and relationship-building skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Comfortable leading groups of students and managing classroom behavior Education Candidates must meet one of the following: Bachelor’s degree or working on one (Education or related field preferred) Two years of college or equivalent coursework credits. Ability to pass a company instructional assessment
Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to actively engage in both indoor and outdoor program settings. Responsibilities may include: Standing, walking, and moving throughout program spaces Lifting and carting materials such as yoga mats in a rolling cart (up to 20 lbs) Supervising students in active, sometimes high-energy environments Managing occasional interruptions and dynamic situations What your schedule will look like: Monday through Friday afternoons in person at school sites, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, (3 hours) which includes daily prep time.
