Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) is seeking a Paraprofessional to join Lakes Country Academy (LCA) in Alexandria, Minnesota, beginning in the 2026-27 school year, supporting K-6 students in a calm, structured, highly individualized setting.
Students are referred by local school districts and benefit from a supportive environment designed to meet both academic and behavioral needs.
Your Role Will Include: Support K-6 students in learning, social, and emotional development.
Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Assist with classroom instruction and behavioral support.
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a positive, inclusive environment.
Receive on-the-job training and ongoing support.
High school diploma or equivalent, AND one of the following:. 60+ college credits, OR completed Associate degree, OR passing score on the Paraeducator/ParaPro exam (may be completed within 30 days after hire).
experience working with students with challenging behaviors.
8:15am–3:15pm (6.75 hours/day). 180 days/year, aligned with the school calendar (33.75 hr/week). For the 2026-2027 school year; school start date: September 1, 2026.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess either 60 college credits, an associate degree, or a passing score on the Paraeducator/ParaPro exam. Experience working with students with challenging behaviors is preferred.
