The Preschool Aide assists the lead teacher in managing daily classroom activities, lessons, and learning centers while ensuring the safety and well-being of students. They also support children with daily routines and help maintain a nurturing, faith-filled environment.

Louis.Job Summary The Preschool Aide assists the lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled learning environment for preschool children.

The aide supports daily classroom activities, student supervision, routines, and learning experiences while helping promote the Catholic values and mission of the school.Job Responsibilities

Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities, lessons, and learning centers.

Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of preschool students at all times.

Support children with age-appropriate routines, including toileting, handwashing, meals, rest time, and transitions.

Help create a warm, nurturing, and welcoming classroom environment.

Encourage positive social, emotional, and behavioral development.

Assist with arts and crafts, music, stories, prayer, and other educational activities.

Reinforce classroom rules and encourage respectful, kind, and cooperative behavior.

Support the Catholic identity of the classroom by modeling Christian values such as kindness, compassion, patience, and respect.

Help prepare, organize, and clean classroom materials and learning areas.

Communicate appropriately and professionally with the lead teacher, families, and school staff.

Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families.

Follow all school, diocesan, health, safety, and child-protection policies.

Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional-development activities as required.

Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or school administration.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.

Warm, patient, dependable, and nurturing personality.

Ability to work cooperatively with the lead teacher and school staff.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Commitment to the Catholic mission and values of the school.

Ability to meet all required background-check, health, safety, and diocesan requirements.
