The aide works collaboratively with the teacher to support student learning, classroom management, daily routines, and the Catholic mission of the school.Job Responsibilities
Assist the classroom teacher with daily instruction, activities, and classroom routines.
Provide individual and small-group support to students as directed by the teacher.
Help students stay engaged and focused on classroom assignments and activities.
Support positive classroom behavior and reinforce school expectations.
Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned duties.
Prepare, organize, and distribute classroom materials and learning resources.
Assist students who need additional academic, social, or behavioral support.
Encourage students to demonstrate Christian values, including kindness, respect, responsibility, honesty, and compassion.
Support classroom prayer, religious activities, and other faith-based experiences.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Communicate regularly and professionally with the classroom teacher and other school staff.
Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters.
Follow all school, diocesan, safety, health, and child-protection policies.
Attend required meetings, training, and professional-development activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or school administration.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience working with children preferred.
Experience in a classroom or educational setting is a plus.
Patient, dependable, compassionate, and able to work well with children.
