Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular classroom teacher. Provide appropriate instruction and learning activities for students. Maintain a positive, respectful, and orderly classroom environment. Take attendance and maintain accurate classroom records as required. Supervise students at all times and maintain appropriate classroom management. Follow school policies, procedures, and expectations. Communicate with building administration regarding any significant student, classroom, or safety concerns. Provide appropriate accommodations and support as outlined in the teacher's plans and student documentation. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and school matters. Assist students with classroom assignments and activities. Ensure that classroom materials, equipment, and instructional areas are maintained appropriately. Follow emergency procedures and all applicable health and safety requirements. Report any incidents, injuries, or concerns to the appropriate administrator. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Appropriate New York State certification or authorization, if required for the assignment. Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred. Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and administrators.
