Job Description

Summary: The Program Associate (PA) is an undergraduate part-time student staff member of Housing & Residence Life and a member of the University’s Office of Campus Life. Housing & Residence Life believes that life in the residence halls provides students an important opportunity to complement their classroom learning experience. The primary function of the PA is to enhance the out-of-classroom learning for students in the Three-Year Scholars Program. Additionally, the PA is responsible for facilitating interpersonal relationships and creating living communities that maximize the opportunities for students to learn and grow. The PA reports to a Community Director (CD) and faculty director of their Three-Year Scholars Program. The PA is also expected to work closely with other staff members within the residence hall, other faculty, as well as campus partners. Emphasis is placed on the concept that the PA is an active and integral staff member within the total campus community. The PA is in a position of responsibility and leadership that extends beyond the immediate scope of the class and floor community. Essential Functions: Enhance the out-of-classroom learning for students in the Three-Year Scholars Program. Facilitate interpersonal relationships and creating living communities that maximize the opportunities for students to learn and grow. Work closely with other staff members within the residence hall, other faculty, as well as campus partners. Other duties assigned. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part-time. 7 hours per week.

Salary Range
